ho is Patty Freeman Martin?
I am a cowgirl and artist living in Terrebonne,
Oregon near Smith Rock State Park in Central
Oregon. My
artwork provides a fresh and unique perspective
on classic American and Western themes. Come
explore my world - where cowgirls float
effortlessly above their horses while their cow
dogs jump through circles of flame.
When I am forced to describe my work, the first
word that comes to mind is fun. It is whimsical,
expressive, and western and often includes
subjects people now call Americana. My style is
unique, contemporary, and probably most of all,
colorful. One of my paintings will light up an
area and bring a spot of happiness to your
environment.
This website is a place to lounge around and
enjoy a little taste of my style of "whimsical
western expression" art. Here you can view the
paintings I currently have for sale and my
portfolio of past work, to give you a strong
sense of my style and subject matter of my art.
Several pieces in my portfolio and in the mural
section were done as commissions for clients and
I welcome inquires in that area.
Those of you who know me have frequently seen me
at a cutting horse event and watched me pull a
portfolio out of the back of our Peterbilt;
within minutes I have paintings and drawings
lying in the grass or spread out in the back of
someone's truck. I'll be talking a mile a
minute, showing my work, and simultaneously
imploring dogs, horses, children or anyone with
"really dirty" hands to stay back! That scenario
will probably continue, but this web-site will
be an alternative way for me to share what I do
with more people and for those who I don't see
personally several times a year.
